Mr. Gillespie

This class is an exploration of the art of photography along with the commercial side of image making. Utilizing  analog 35mm black and white film photography with an emphasis on creative camera controls, correct film exposure and development, printmaking, proper use of chemicals and procedures in the darkroom and digital photography.  A history of technical and aesthetic aspects of the history of photography will also be covered. The course is a combination of lectures, projects, demonstrations, supervised lab work and critique for student to gain a voice to tell their visual story.
